Leader in Helping Solar Power Owners Optimize Their Systems’ Output and Savings

The Solar Inverter Home Installation project was completed by EnergyAid to restore functionality to a homeowner’s solar system after a critical equipment failure. The original inverter had stopped working, forcing the homeowner back onto costly utility power and the original installer was no longer available due to bankruptcy. EnergyAid procured and installed a compatible replacement inverter, reconfigured the system and established new monitoring capabilities, returning the home to energy independence and long-term reliability.

Creating Sustainable Buildings in the Era of Climate Change

The Mary Cali Dalton Recreation Center is being constructed in Staten Island, New York, adjacent to the historic Lyons Pool. The original recreation center, built in the 1940s on timber piles in New York Harbor, served the community for decades before it was removed after Hurricane Sandy in 2012. This project is a pilot NYC DDC design-build initiative that incorporates flood resilience, daylight harvesting, sustainable energy-efficient systems and a hardened lobby with flood gates designed to withstand eight feet of water.

Construction Appreciation Week, the third week of September, celebrates, acknowledges and thanks the more than 11 million hardworking men and women in the industry who contribute to the development of America’s infrastructure, facilities, products and services.

Construction Appreciation Week brings together the entire industry, regardless of company size or specialty, and shows appreciation for the work they do every day. It touches people at all levels, from students thinking about joining the industry to current professionals to company leadership.

Alliant is proud to support the AGC Education and Research Foundation, which provides scholarships to students enrolled in accredited construction management or construction related engineering programs.Ìý

Encouraging young talent to join the construction field is crucial to the future of the industry and Alliant is thrilled to help ensure that students across the country are provided the assistance they need to continue their education.

Through endowments made by AGC members and supporters, as well as AGC Chapters, the Foundation is able to give 150 or more undergraduate and graduate scholarships each year to deserving students.
